While the Ford Focus hasn’t been sold in the U.S. for years now, fans of the performance-focused ST and RS can still find nice examples on the used vehicle market, including this 5k-mile 2017 RS, a heavily-modified 2017 RS, and this 2014 ST, which was formerly used by the Octane Academy. Now, those in the market for a hot hatch can bid on this 2016 Ford Focus ST that’s currently live at Cars & Bids, too.
With just 30k miles on the clock and one owner, this 2016 Ford Focus ST is in fantastic condition with perfect Tangerine Scream Metallic paint adorning its flanks. It’s also well-equipped with Equipment Group 402A – ST3 Package, which added a host of goodies including Recaro front bucket seats, ambient lighting, voice-activated navigation, carbon fiber interior trim, dual-zone automatic climate control, and bi-xenon HID headlights, among other features.
Those features add to an already formidable package that includes 18-inch wheels, a power sunroof, a rear spoiler, improved handling, and sharper steering compared to lesser Focus models. Power comes from the turbocharged Ford 2.0L EcoBoost I-4 engine, which in this guise was originally rated to produce 252 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. However, this one is equipped with the Ford Performance Focus ST calibration kit, which increases output to 295 horsepower and 360 pound-feet, which flows to the front wheels via a six-speed manual transmission.
In fantastic condition with low miles, a short ownership history, and a nice OEM upgrade to improve performance, there certainly isn’t much not to like with this 2016 Ford Focus ST. The only thing left to determine is just how much someone is willing to pay for this ultra-cool hot hatch, but we’ll receive an answer to that question when the auction ends in a few days.
We’ll have more cool auction finds like this to share soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Focus news and around-the-clock Ford news coverage.
