2024 Ford Expedition Adds New Wild Green Color: First Look

The 2024 Ford Expedition drops two exterior colors, while it gains a single new one known as Wild Green. Here’s a first look at the new color for the full-size SUV.

Wild Green is tagged with paint code FC, and is a no-cost option available for the 2024 Ford Expedition and Expedition Max across all trim levels, and is offered in conjunction with all available interior colorways. The following list represents all available exterior colors for the 2024 Ford Expedition (relevant paint codes listed in parentheses):

  • Star White Metallic Tri-Coat (AZ)
  • Jewel Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat (C9)
  • Race Red (fleet only) (PQ)
  • Iconic Silver Metallic (JS)
  • Dark Matter Gray Metallic (HY)
  • Stone Blue Metallic (C8)
  • Agate Black Metallic (UM)
  • Oxford White (YZ)
  • Wild Green (FC) (new for 2024)

The following list represents all available interior colorways:

  • Black Onyx
  • Sandstone
  • Deep Cypress Heathered/Black Onyx
  • Sandstone/Mahogany
  • Black Onyx/Mahogany
  • Java
  • Black Onyx/Light Sandstone
  • Black Onyx/Carmelo

Finally, the following represents all available trim levels:

2024 Ford Expedition

  • XL STX (fleet only)
  • XLT
  • Limited
  • Timberline
  • King Ranch
  • Platinum

2024 Ford Expedition Max

  • XLT
  • Limited
  • King Ranch

The 2024 Ford Expedition represents only minor changes over its 2023 model year counterpart, but it does gain the optional Excursion Package. This adds things like the Heavy Duty Trailer Tow Package, Advanced Cargo Manager, as well as suspension and drivetrain upgrades including ControlTrac with eLSD, a 3.73-geared electronic limited-slip differential, and the Continuous Controlled Damping (CCD) system with suspension road preview. Inside the cabin, the Expedition Package also adds a set of floor liners in the first and second rows.

However, greater changes are on the horizon. Ford Authority first spotted a refreshed 2025 Ford Expedition prototype back in May. The forthcoming model will feature redesigned taillights, a set of 24-inch wheels, and an overhauled interior, as evidenced by several prototypes spotted by Ford Authority.

  1. There is still no mention of any of this in the press release. Are they just released things bit by bit? The last 2 redesigns was in 2020 and 2022. If the pattern follows the next should be 2024.

  3. Since a real photo is not used, it is hard to know what this “color” really looks like. Looks like another boring shade of gray in the images here. I bet it will get hot parked in the sun.

  4. I own a 2021 Expedition , because it replaced a Yukon that was totaled. The expedition is lame. no moldings, same style as late 90’s , and the grill looks bad. every color is dark now a days.
the echo boost sounds like a toyota corolla motor. GM is not perfect, but you can still get a V8 or diesel, its sporty. look at a xlt expedition and a platinum , only exterior difference is power running boards

    1. And yet none of that stopped you from buying it

      1. yes sir it did. Yukon’s were not available in Feb of 2022 almost anywere, its why GM sells two yukons or Tahoes to one expedition. our expedition even had 1K off sticker , and 0% financing. Tom if you have one I hope you enjoy yours.

    2. At least Ford still has multiple 12v outlets. GM replaced them with underpowered USB-C ports that doesn’t have Quick Charge or USB-PD, really bad if you want to quick charge you or your family’s devices, or if you frequently work remotely. Ford’s lane centering works on unmapped roads, GM goes back to lane keeping that ping pongs you in your lane. You get a way bigger center console and glove boxes in the Ford than in the GM. Also the Ford has better fuel economy than the GMC.

  5. Not all configs. cant get the wild green with stealth. Thought that would be a good looking combo. Hard to appreciate the stealth on black or grays. Stealth looks good on color – at least they have blue thats nice or the boring silver, white options. That dark red is terrible on all.

I still think that must be a glitch, no reason to not allow green (when you add stealth it drops the green)
