2024 Lincoln Nautilus Adds New Red Carpet Color: First Look

The 2024 Lincoln Nautilus gains five new exterior colors, including Blue Panther Metallic, Lustrous Gray Metallic, White Platinum Metallic Tri-Coat, Diamond Red Metallic and Red Carpet Metallic Tinted Clearcoat. Here’s a first look at the hue known as Red Carpet Metallic Tinted Clearcoat.

Red Carpet Metallic is tagged with paint code D4, and it is an extra cost option for the base Premiere and mid-tier Reserve trims, and is not available at all on the range-topping Black Label trim. It costs $750 to outfit on the 2024 Nautilus Premier and Reserve, and can be paired with all interior colorway options.

The seven exterior color options offered on the 2024 Lincoln Nautilus are as follows (relevant paint codes listed in parentheses):

  • Silver Radiance Metallic Clearcoat (JS)
  • Chroma Caviar Dark Gray Metallic Tinted Clearcoat (XF) (exclusive to Black Label trim)
  • Lustrous Gray Metallic (LG) (new for 2024)
  • Red Carpet Metallic Tinted Clearcoat (D4) (new for 2024)
  • White Platinum Metallic Tri-Coat (UG) (new for 2024)
  • Blue Panther Metallic (CV) (new for 2024)
  • Diamond Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat (C9) (new for 2024)

The following are all trim levels offered on the 2024 Lincoln Nautilus:

  • Premiere
  • Reserve
  • Black Label

Finally, the following list represents all available interior Nautilus colorways:

  • Black Onyx
  • Light Smoked Truffle
  • Black Onyx/Medium Light Smoked Gray
  • Light Smoked Truffle/Dark Smoked Truffle
  • Black Onyx/Allura Blue
  • Cashmere
  • Harvest Bronze with Dark Smoked Truffle

The 2024 Lincoln Nautilus received quite the shakeup when it comes to exterior color offerings. In fact, the luxury crossover lost seven exterior colors that were previously available for the 2023 model year.

It’s not a surprise that the 2024 Nautilus has a completely revamped exterior color lineup, considering that it represents a complete generational shift. The all-new 2024 Nautilus sports a completely overhauled exterior design while also offering a new hybrid propulsion system comprised of the 2.0L I4 EcoBoost engine mated to a 100 kW electric motor for a combined 310 horsepower output. As for driver-facing changes, the forthcoming model features an all-new large interior screen that runs coast-to-coast.

  1. In honor of red communist China where it’s being built, I suppose.

  2. Saw the headline and immediately clicked to see interior photos showing red carpeting. Disappointed.

  3. Wish it was made in USA….and the brake dust wheels…sure cheapen the looks of it….

  4. I’m in love with this car, but conflicted about where it’s built. Should I be? I mean China is keeping Lincoln alive at this point.

  5. Nice color but nowhere near as attractive as Mazda Soul Red, with a hint of gold which is brilliant in the sun.

  6. Ford has blown it with this car. No turbo V6, to get the maximum power you must get the Hybrid 2.0 Ecoboost with a CVT transmission. The capper is that is is manufactured in China and imported. There is no F***in way I will ever buy a Ford imported from China. What are they thinking? We do these things then wonder why we have supply chain problems.

  7. No China car for me!

  8. It’s a shame that Ford Motor has decided to build this vehicle in China. For that reason alone, I don’t think I can purchase it. Some folks will say, “Everything today is built in China.” Most things are but, my wife and I read labels and if we know something is from China, we put it back on the shelf. I will look to purchase an Explorer before I help to support the Communist China regime.

    1. Ford needs the USA plants to build Ford vehicles. There is little room left for Lincoln at this time. What else could they do to get vehicles? Ford knows not many will buy the China Lincolns yet pacifies everyone to the point of “We did all we could, we have no choice but to end Lincoln so it can join Mercury, Edsel and Merkur.

      1. They have plenty of plants around the world. Just don’t help support Red China.

  9. Buick appears to be selling plenty of China SUV’s here without any problems. Lincoln needs all the sales they can get however it is done. Bring the Zephyr over and we will flock to it.

  10. I own a ’21 Nautilus in Red Carpet. I’ve had more compliments about this color than any vehicle I’ve ever owned. Its a tinted clearcoat with excellent gloss and depth of finish. I’m glad to see it’s returning for 2024.

The new model looks great inside and out. In keeping with other luxury nameplates, the differences are very noticeable to me, but appear subtle to those not so familiar with Lincoln. So the previous models don’t look dated when new ones are introduced. Good work by Lincoln and I’m glad leadership there retained the Nautilus.

  11. I just ordered a ’24 Nautilus Reserve II Hybrid. Red Carpet with light truffle interior. Dealer tells me production supposed to begin in November. Delivery likely in first quarter sometime. We’ll see if that holds. Nicest looking Lincoln SUV in a long time, plus it is a gas/electric hybrid not a plug-in. Should give a nice boost to Lincoln sales.
