Ford F-150 Lightning Discount Non-Existent In June 2023

Once again, FoMoCo has not made any Ford F-150 Lightning discount or incentive offers available during June 2023. In fact, the automaker has yet to offer any significant discount or deal toward its all-electric pickup.

However, while Ford itself isn’t offering a Ford F-150 Lightning discount this month, certain models may qualify for the $7,500 Federal EV tax credit as long as the overall price of the EV pickup does not exceed $80,000. However, non-commercial customers who choose to lease instead of purchase are unable to take advantage of the aforementioned tax credit.

The continued lack of Ford F-150 Lightning incentive offers can be at least partially attributed to high demand and low supply of the EV pickup. To keep pace with demand, Ford has already taken steps to ramp up production of several of its most popular models, including the F-150 Lightning, by 2024. This includes expanding the size of the Rouge Electric Vehicle Center campus with plans to increase production to 150,000 units of the F-150 Lightning annually. That number will also represent a sizable percentage of Ford’s overall production run rate goal of building 600,000 electric vehicles per year by 2024 and two million by 2026.

Part of this production boost will include transferring some workers from Ford’s Dearborn Truck plant to the Rouge Electric Vehicle Center over the summer, while the automaker will also hire 300 new employees in order to get the F-150 Lightning rolling off the assembly line at a faster pace.
