Highly Desirable 2022 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Up For Grabs

Though the 2023 model year marks the last for the S550 generation ahead of the debut of the all-new S650 model, the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 bowed out after the 2022 model year, as Ford Authority previously reported. With no new GT500 available for the 2024 model year, for now, the last-gen model is as good as it gets for pony car aficionados as the most powerful production Mustang in that model’s illustrious history. In that regard, this 2022 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 up for grabs at Cars & Bids is about as desirable as they come, too.

2022 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Carbon Fiber Track Pack - Interior 001

We say this because this 2022 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 – aside from being the very last model year for this particular model – has less than 200 miles on the clock, and it’s equipped with the rare Carbon Fiber Track Pack, not to mention the rather pricey painted over-the-top stripes, which are finished in Absolute Black. The Carbon Fiber Track Pack adds a host of goodies such as 20-inch carbon fiber wheels, a carbon fiber wing, carbon fiber dash trim, leather Recaro sport seats, and a rear seat delete, among others.

Additionally, this GT500 is also equipped with the optional Technology Package, which includes the 12-speaker B&O sound system, blind spot information system with cross-traffic alert, and a voice-activated touchscreen-based navigation system. As is the case with all S550 GT500s, this one is powered by the supercharged Ford 5.2L V8 Predator engine, which generates 760 horsepower and 625 pound-feet of torque, which flows to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

Finished in Oxford White with an Ebony and Recaro Gray interior, there aren’t any flaws to note here, as one would expect from a car that’s essentially brand new. Throw in its desirable options and pricey original MSRP of $112,690, and it’s pretty clear that this pony car is as close to the pinnacle of its generation as they come.
