Ford has experienced its fair share of personnel changes in recent months, poaching talent from the tech world and seeing many of its longer-tenured execs opt to retire. Most recently, that list includes the retirement of long-time Blue Oval employee Trevor Worthington, who had been with the company since 1985. Now, the automaker has announced another round of shakeups in its ranks, revealing Worthington’s replacement and one major hire, along with a couple of additional retirements and one departure.
First up, we have Tim Slatter, who will assume the role of head of Vehicle Programs left vacant by Worthington’s retirement. The 25-year Blue Oval vet was most recently the vehicle line director for buses and vans in Ford of Europe and the chair of Ford of Britain. Now, he’ll be tasked with managing all Ford Blue global vehicle programs, including derivatives, and Ford Performance products, and he’ll also be involved in strategy and cycle planning for Ford Blue, Ford Performance, and Ford Motorsports.
Meanwhile, Liz Door – who spent the last six years as the leader of global strategic sourcing for Whirlpool Corp. – has accepted a role with Ford to serve as its chief supply chain officer, assuming the responsibilities that have been held on an interim basis by CFO John Lawler since last September.
On the flip side, FoMoCo is losing three executives amid this latest shakeup, starting with Dave Bozeman, who has been tasked with running Ford Blue’s Enthusiast Vehicles unit and the Ford Customer Service Division, as he has accepted an offer to become CEO of C.H. Robinson. Additionally, two Blue Oval execs – Kiersten Robinson, general manager, Family Vehicles, and president, Mexico and Canada, for Ford Blue; and Jonathan Jennings, vice president, Supply Chain, – have announced their plans to retire.
