Ford Motor Company is recalling select 2023Â Ford F-250 Super Duty pickups due to an issue with the operation of the front window.
The defect:Â in affected vehicles, if the driver and front passenger door module experiences a low power condition and resets while the window is moving, the anti-pinch function may not detect an obstacle near the top edge and may not automatically reverse direction.
The hazards:Â a window that does not automatically reverse when an obstruction is encountered increases the risk of injury.
Ford is not aware of any reports of accident or injury related to this issue.
Components:Â driver and front passenger door module
Affected vehicles:Â select 2023 Ford Super Duty F-250, F-350, F-450, and F-550 Â pickups produced between January 3rd, 2023, and March 1st, 2023.
Number of vehicles affected: 1,339
The fix:Â dealers will update the software, free of charge.
Owners should: wait for communications from Ford, which will be begin on September 11th, 2023. The Ford reference number for this recall is 23S37.
