2024 Ford F-150 Platinum Spotted Completely Undisguised

The 2024 Ford F-150 will bring forth a refresh for the ever-popular pickup, one ripe with relatively minor exterior and interior styling changes, among various other updates designed to keep the model fresh in a hotly contested segment. As Ford Authority recently reported, that includes one small but notable change for the luxurious 2024 Ford F-150 Platinum, in particular – “Platinum,” letting on the hood, a feature that was previously only seen on the range-topping Limited. Now, Ford Authority has spotted a 2024 Ford F-150 Platinum out driving around with zero camo, giving us our best look yet at this particular trim level.

As seen on previously-spied 2024 Ford F-150 prototypes, this Platinum model features a revised front end design with new headlights and a new grille. While it doesn’t represent a significant departure from the current F-150 – this is a refresh and not a redesign, after all – there is a noticeable difference between the two, particularly with the headlights and the signature LED lighting that surrounds them.

While the center section of the 2024 F-150 remains essentially unchanged, the rear end gets brand new taillights with something of an “upside-down L” lighting element, which are similar to the units present on the all-electric F-150 Lightning. Otherwise, the style here is pretty similar to the current Platinum, including its body-color bumpers and a mixture of satin and chrome trim pieces. However, the tailgate has lost its chrome midsection, with a stamped F-150 replacing the Platinum lettering compared to the current model.

Otherwise, there are several other changes coming for the 2024 F-150 in general, as we’ve seen via numerous prototypes over the past few months. Inside the cabin, we’ve come across both horizontal and vertical infotainment screens, which could be running the typical Sync software of the long-awaited Google infotainment system that’s been in the works for some time now.

On the outside, the 2024 Ford F-150 lineup gets the aforementioned new headlights and taillights, along with slight revisions to the grille – which varies by trim level – and various other tweaks, as well as newly available 22-inch wheels. These changes are fairly consistent throughout the lineup, including the base XL, as well as the off-road focused Rattler, Tremor, Raptor, and Raptor R, all of which have been spied over the past few months. In addition to these changes, the 2024 F-150 is expected to be simpler than the current model, which is all part of Ford’s greater strategy to reduce complexity and boost profitability within its lineup.

  1. so there will be no multifunction gate, that’s dissapointing I was waiting for the 2024 f-150 and even cancelled my order for a 2023, now I will be again looking all over again on the ram, Sierra and this one when it gets to the dealers

    1. You are wrong actually, Ford did patent the maltifunction tailgate, and there were spy shots of it in this model year, however in this photo, I think it’s an option but I think Ford didn’t want show it under covered so they chose s normal tailgate,

Don’t worry, it will come, it just so happens they don’t want to show it here which suggests that the next F150’s important feature is the tailgate

      1. I hope that’s the case I’m really just waiting on that to Proceed with an order for a power boost platinum or limited

  2. Looks great! Ford really hit it out of the ballpark with this one. Notice the SuperDuty dash, this one is getting the heads up display.

  3. WELL! Not impressed. Alex is right where is the multifunctional tail gate. See so many on Stellantis Ram and GMC.

    1. It will come, it just so happens this doesn’t feature it, maybe to conceal it until its been released, judging by the fact that ford completely uncovered the F150 but no sign of the new tailgate suggests that it’s an I’m-rot at feature that they don’t want to show it now

  4. This isn’t even close to the Sierra and Silverado with looks.

    1. And that’s a good thing. Image the copy cat atrocity if Ford made a Silverado or Sierra clone…

      Ugly would be an understatement

  5. Ford will never make A Silverado or Sierra—those trucks are above their league.
They’ve copied a lot of things from GM the last couple of years—-but that’s what they need to do to stay afloat.

    1. Lol! There’s like 150,000 superduties on backlog order while GM has like 20k. People are forking out money for fords not Gm products. Fords years ahead of that scrap

    2. Lol “stay afloat”. Who’s the one that went bankrupt in 2009?

  6. Remember what happened to Ford 4 years prior to that, or are to young to remember that?
Jake how would you know how many are on backlog order? Ford is telling you a fib and you believe it. They got you good.
In the last 10 years, how many diesel engine changes have they had to do, because they were junk. The current one it seems is a little better.

  10. feel like the headlight/taillight design is a step backward from the ’23 design….tail light looks unnecessarily busy which makes it look cheap IMO and headlight looks like the version that would have PRECEDED the ’23 design which is tighter, flows better, highlights the lines of the design etc…

  11. I would rather stay with my 2023 in every aspect. I do like the HUD unit but I wouldn’t trade my fully optioned Lariat 502A BAP for the 24s as it doesn’t spark anything in me till I see it in the flesh inside out.

  12. I realize it’s all subjective. But personally, the headlights, taillights look cheap and out of place. Ford had better designers and leaders a few years ago. The 04-08 was a classy looking truck for its era. The 2009-14 were a step up… everything was better than the 04-08 except the 09-14 king ranch leather was absolutely terrible.
Then came the 2015-17! Sharp truck. The grill headlights and taillights were good. 2018 saw a bland if not boring grill and headlight design. 21-23 really nice looking overall.

But god…the headlights, taillights and grill are a step in the wrong direction.

I hope they haven’t destroyed the interior.
