2024 Ford F-150 XL Spotted Without Camo For First Time

We’re slowly getting a better idea about what the 2024 Ford F-150 will look like, and it appears some changes are in store for the front end across multiple trims. As Ford Authority has extensively covered, multiple F-150 Raptor and Raptor R pickups are out on public roads in Michigan without any camoflauge, and this week, a Tremor pickup also cruised around without any coverings. Now, photographers recently captured a base SuperCrew XL for the first time, showing off a front end that looks similar to the Tremor.

Unsurprisingly, this 2024 Ford F-150 XL has no chrome or LED fog lights, but it does have a grille and headlights that are very similar to the Tremor that was spotted not too long ago. Both models have new headlamp assemblies that ditched the signature lighting around the assemblies for edgework that extends around all sides of the grille. Instead, it seems that the signature lighting will bisect each headlamp assembly. Additionally, there’s a revised front bumper, with cutouts for the LED fog lights. It should be noted that with this sighting, it’s becoming clear that the Raptor and Raptor will apparently have their own grille and headlamp assemblies, which is a break with the 2023 lineup.

Out back, the tailgate remains unchanged and the bumper gets some cosmetic tweaks, but the big ticket items are the revised taillights. The “C-clamp” design has been ditched for a visual aesthetic that is similar to what’s featured on the Ford F-150 Lightning, although it’s not a carbon copy of those lights. The rear lights now feature more red with less real estate reserved for the clear sections that are reserved for the reverse lights.

At this point, it is unclear exactly how the 2024 Ford F-150 lineup will change, but we do know that center stack changes are being planned. There are two new touchscreens on the way, including a new landscape-oriented screen and a portrait-oriented setup too. Evidence suggests that a multifunction tailgate could become part of the lineup as well.

  3. Swing and a miss on this front end design. Not liking the Ford truck grill and bumper design in this or the ’24 ranger sans raptor versions.

    1. I do agree with you 100%. I think what they may use to keep their customers in this case would be a suspected HUD, and a Lightning like 12″ infotainment display screen.
I wouldn’t buy these anyways as I’ll be looking closely at the new RAM EV even as a Ford owner.

  4. Those taillights from the sideview are an absolute joke. Seriously cannot belive they did that. One of my favorite design elements on the f150 are the c-clamp shape. I was thinking the front looks pretty good, then saw the taillights from the side… just wow. Who cares what the front looks like when the taillights take up a third of the side of the bed.

  5. I’m definitely a fan of the updated front, although the taillights look like a mess. You can see the dashboard has the same general shape as the current XL.

  6. “the Raptor and Raptor will apparently have their own grille and headlamp assemblies, which is a break with the 2023 lineup” this is not true, the Raptor has always had its own distinct grille and headlights assemblies.

  7. Those taillights are a complete mess… who decided that would be the design of them? I wonder if they got rid of the amber signals as they are doing in their other vehicles.
The front end is atrocious with massive headlamps once again.
