2024 Ford Ranger XL Spotted With Bedcap: Photos

The 2024 Ford Ranger represents one of the company’s new or refreshed products that have or are on their way this year. As Ford Authority previously reported, the all-new model brings a host of new upgrades for the new generation, including the 2.7L V6 EcoBoost and the Raptor, which will be sold in North America for the first time. Now, photographers have spotted a 2024 Ford Ranger XL cruising around on public roads.

This particular 2024 Ford Ranger XL is painted in Cactus Gray and it’s got a bedcap, although it’s not currently clear if it will be sold or offered by the company, as it is not an option at this point in time. This pickup is also interesting given the integrated side box step, which is an optional on XLT and Lariat at this point in time. What’s isn’t optional is the STX Appearance Package, now standard on every XL pickup. The package includes an STX fender badge, 17-inch painted aluminum wheels, dampened tailgate, LED headlamps, halogen fog lamps, and premium cloth seats.

Inside, the 2024 Ford Ranger gets a host of modern upgrades, not the least of which is the standard 10-inch Sync 4A center touchscreen. The new system replaces Sync 3 and adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability to the entire lineup. Additionally, all Ranger pickups will get digital instrument clusters, with an eight-inch unit standard on XL trucks. A ton of convivences features are now standard too, including automatic high beam headlamps, remote keyless entry with remote tailgate lock functionality, lane-keeping aid, and post-collision braking.

The 2024 Ford Ranger is now available to order, and while the lineup gets more expensive, it has gained notable tech and features as standard equipment. The Ranger Raptor features the 3.0L V6 EcoBoost exclusively and also has some other exclusive options, like the new Shelter Green Metallic paint. The all-new Ranger will arrive at U.S. dealers later this year.
