Ford Italy Hosts Outdoor Event With Bronco, Ranger Raptor

The Ford Bronco Off-Roadeo launched shortly after the sixth-generation SUV was revealed, and has since expanded to multiple locations across the U.S., offering both Ford Bronco and Ford Bronco Sport owners the chance to get out and learn all about their vehicle’s features, as well as receive some valuable instruction from experienced off-roaders. That experience has since expanded to include a special event reserved for Ford Bronco Raptor owners, too. However, Ford Italy got in on the action recently by hosting a special outdoor experience of its own with the Bronco and all-new Ford Ranger Raptor in attendance, too.

The concept behind this special Ford Italy event was to celebrate The Blue Oval’s American heritage, all while showing citizens of that European country precisely what the current off-road boom is all about. Thus, the automaker invited 4,000 consumers and members of the media out to the Apennine Mountains – which are located along the length of peninsular Italy – to spend some time with the Bronco and Ranger Raptor up close.

The special experience lasted for a total of three days, and included not only light trail duty, but also some pretty hardcore off-roading, according to the automaker – showing off precisely what these rugged vehicles are capable of. The Apennine Mountains are the perfect venue for engaging in such activities, presenting drivers with a wide range of terrain types and elevations as high as 9,554 feet.

“We wanted to create an adrenaline-fueled experience showcasing Ford’s American trucks, and the Appennini Mountains were the perfect location to demonstrate the extraordinary off-road performance of our new Ford Bronco and the new Ford Ranger Raptor. It was a fantastic outdoor experience,” said Ford Italia’s Monica Mecacci.
