Once again, FoMoCo has elected to withhold Ford Transit discount offers during July 2023, but considering that incentives toward the van have been sporadic and conservative at best over the past few years, this isn’t a surprise.
For the sake of context, below is a list outlining the discounts (or, perhaps more accurately, the lack thereof) for the Transit throughout 2022 as well as year to date in 2023.
2022 Calendar Year
2023 Calendar Year
The Ford Transit continues to be a high desirable and popular seller, absolutely dominating its competitive segment during the first quarter of 2023. The Transit Trail variant joined the lineup for the 2023 model year,. and will likely continue to drive demand for the van, as this model model is an upfit-ready off-road-oriented van that is geared toward the van and outdoor life enthusiast. We expect the new Transit Trail, along with the rest of the Transit range, to continue driving strong demand.
As such, it’s safe to assume that The Blue Oval will not see a need to offer Ford Transit discount or incentive deals. That said, Transit production skyrocketed a whopping 75 percent in May 2023, so a higher national inventory of vans may eventually prompt Ford to incentivize the purchase of the vehicle later this year.
