Stellar 1989 Ford Thunderbird With Just 46K Miles For Sale

Every so often, Ford Thunderbird coupes from the late 1980s and early 1990s surface online for sale. Over the past few months, we’ve seen a 1995 T-Bird cross the digital auction block, another from the 1989 model year with just 3,000 miles on its odometer, and a 1984 Thunderbird that’s practically brand-new. Yet another example is currently being offered up to a new owner on Craigslist, this time another 1989 Ford Thunderbird that’s spent most of its life preserved in a garage.

The seller notes that this 1989 Thunderbird only has 46,014 miles on its odometer, and that it’s in “all-original condition, just the way it left the showroom.” The silver paint is original, and it doesn’t appear to have any noticeable dings or dents, and thanks to its garage-kept life, it’s free from surface rust, along with other wear and tear from the elements. It rolls on a set of wheels featuring unique wire hubcaps, wrapped in classy whitewall tires.

Inside, its gray interior is practically spotless, with minor creasing in the driver’s seat the only noticeable defect – if it can even be called that. Otherwise, it’s pretty clean, and features amenities like AM/FM radio, a cassette player, power seats in both the passenger and driver side, and functional air conditioning. The seller states that “everything works as it should.”

Under the hood, this 1989 Ford Thunderbird harnesses the automaker’s naturally aspirated 4.6L V6 engine, which is rated at 140 horsepower and 215 pound-feet of torque from the factory. This engine is said to run and drive “like new.”

The seller is asking $7,700 for this well-preserved 1989 Ford Thunderbird, making it an affordable classic for someone in search of an unconventional daily driver.
