The forthcoming 2024 Ford F-150 is set to bring forth a refresh for the perennially best-selling pickup, one that features a number of notable changes, both inside and out. In recent months, Ford Authority has outlined many of these changes while also spotting a host of different 2024 Ford F-150 trims and variants out and about, including the base XL trim, Tremor, Lariat, Platinum, Raptor, Raptor R, a Heritage Edition, and an XLT with the STX Package, to name just a few. Now, that list continues to grow, as Ford Authority just spotted a 2024 Ford F-150 Platinum pickup equipped with the Black Appearance Package, too.
Right off the bat, it’s worth noting that this particular 2024 Ford F-150 Platinum doesn’t have “Platinum” lettering on its hood, which was the case with the previously-spied model that wasn’t equipped with the Black Appearance Package. The presence of that optional package also means that much of the truck’s brightwork and satin trim has been replaced by dark elements, too.
Overall, there are quite a few similarities between this pickup and the Black Appearance Package available on the current-gen model, which adds 20-inch gloss black-painted aluminum wheels, black belt moldings, black box decals for 4×4 and FX4 Off-Road Package equipped models, along with black exterior badging, front tow hooks (for 4×4 models only), a tailgate appliqué, taillamp bezels, dual exhaust tips, power deployable running boards, and a unique hood and grille. Other features include body-color door handles and mirror caps, along with dark interior appliqués, to boot.
There are a number of other notable updates coming for the refreshed and simplified 2024 Ford F-150, as Ford Authority has reported over the past several months. In addition to new headlights and taillights and a revised front grille, that list includes some new features for the STX Package, new 22-inch wheels and an available modular front bumper, as well as a possible backlit Ford badge in the front grille, and a potential multi-function tailgate.
Inside the cabin, we’ve come across both horizontal and vertical infotainment screens in a revised layout that will somewhat emulate the all-new 2023 Ford Super Duty, and those changes could be joined by debut of the long-rumored Google-based infotainment system rather than the typical Sync-based software, though that detail remains unclear at this time. The 2024 F-150 is set to debut at the upcoming 2023 Detroit Auto Show this September, as Ford Authority recently reported, and it will be joined there by a new hybrid variant of the pickup as well.
We’ll have more on the 2024 Ford F-150 soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for the latest Ford F-Series news, Ford F-150 news, and comprehensive Ford news coverage.

Not that I hate chrome but I am getting tired of it, I am glad that you can get a black package on the platinum makes the truck look better, especially with lighter exterior colors
makes it look like a base model truck don’t like paying over a 1,000 to make it look like a standard truck
looks like an stx. actually the stx might have looked better.
Those tail lights look cheap, the wheels dont do much for the truck, and the tremor/stx/etc headlights (or the ’23 headlights) look better than these… smdh
was the ’24 designed by AI?
this doesnt even have exhaust integrated into the rear bumper lol
Makes no sense to have a top trim model with all the chromed pieces black to make it look like the cheap XL. If you like that look, save your money and just buy an XL!
Chrome is so 90s
Look closely, the trim on the Black Appearance Package Platinum is painted gloss black, not textured gray plastic like the XL .
