Ford Chile sales increased 18 percent to 921 units in June 2023. The figures placed Ford as the seventh country’s best-selling automobile brand during the month, behind Toyota, Hyundai, Chevrolet, Suzuki, Kia, and Peugeot.
Chilean auto sales figures are limited since reporting only shows the best-selling models in each segment. As such, no sales data is available for vehicles that sell in lower volumes. Nevertheless, individual Ford model sales performance (for models for which sales data is available) was as follows:
- Ford F-Series sales totaled 126 units
- Ford heavy truck sales decreased 66.67 percent to 1 units
- Ford Ranger sales increased 143.86 percent to 278 units
- Ford Territory sales totaled 235 units
- Ford Transit sales totaled 54 units
In addition to the models specified, Ford also offers the following vehicles in Chile:

During the first six months of the 2023 calendar year, Ford Chile sales decreased 14 percent to 5,629 units.

The Ford Authority Take
Ford Chile sales grew healthily in June, as the brand experienced a year-over-year volume rebound, but at the same time lost month-on-month momentum by setting records below the 1,031 deliveries of May 2023. Still, the figures make it Ford’s second consecutive increase in the Chilean market for this year.
The solid performance of Ford Chile in June was led by the three-digit increase of the Ford Ranger, which made the medium pickup consolidate in the first position among the brand’s best-selling models in that country. The Ranger also ended the first half of the year with positive figures in Chile.
In addition, the Ford Territory closely followed the midsize pickup last month with a volume of 235 units that again brought it close to the first position on the brand’s podium. The crossover’s performance is outstanding given that the figures correspond to the outgoing generation model, since the all-new Territory has not yet been launched in Chile.
