Ford Colombia Sales Down Seven Percent In July 2023

Ford Colombia sales decreased seven percent to 563 units in July 2023 compared to July 2022.

Individual model sales performance was as follows:

Ford Bronco Sport sales increased 68.18 percent to 37 units
Ford Edge sales decreased 24 percent to 19 units
Ford Escape sales decreased 93.86 percent to 18 units
Ford Expedition sales decreased 100 percent to 0 units
Ford Explorer sales decreased 59.52 percent to 34 units
Ford F-Series sales increased 487.5 percent to 47 units
Ford Mustang sales decreased 75 percent to 1 units
Ford Ranger sales increased 143.71 percent to 407 units

During the first seven months of the 2023 calendar year, Ford Colombia sales increased 10 percent to 3,273 units.

The Ford Authority Take

After experiencing two consecutive monthly increases, Ford Colombia sales dipped slightly in July. However, last month’s drop did not prevent the Ford from maintaining its favorable position so far this year in the Colombian market.

Ford Colombia’s decline in July was driven by sales contraction of five models, including the drastic volume loss of the Ford Escape. The compact crossover lost 275 units year-over-year, joining nearly 100 fewer deliveries among the four other models that tipped the scales to the negative.

Notably, the Ford Ranger cemented its leadership position as the brand’s best-selling model with a significant triple-digit increase in July. The Ford F-150 posted the highest rate of increase again, albeit with lower volume than the previous month, while the Bronco Sport enjoyed its second consecutive increase.
