The refreshed 2024 Ford F-150 debuted just last night, ushering in a host of updates for the venerable pickup – as well as the more off-road-focused Tremor and Raptor family. As Ford Authority reported last week, order banks for the new F-150 are slated to open up later today, while the build and price configurator was also expected to launch today as well. Now, the 2024 Ford F-150 build and price configurator is officially live, giving those interested in ordering one – or just playing around with specs and features – the chance to do precisely that.
The first thing most will notice is that the 2024 Ford F-150 lineup looks a bit different than it has for quite a few years now, particularly as it relates to trim levels. For the most part, nothing has changed, but the former top trim – the Limited – is now gone, effectively replaced by the Platinum Plus Package, while the STX has become its own trim level rather than an optional package. That means that from bottom to top, the lineup now consists of the XL, STX, XLT, Tremor, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Raptor.
Within that lineup, there are several interesting changes to note. Aside from slightly revised exterior and interior styling, the 2024 Ford F-150 gets standard LED lighting, new wheel options, the new Pro Access Tailgate, an optional rear bumper step, bed storage box, a standard 12-inch infotainment screen, and an optional head-up display. Meanwhile, the previously-standard 3.3L V6 is gone, replaced by the turbocharged Ford 2.7L V6 EcoBoost across the lineup.
The 2024 F-150 Tremor gets even more updates, including an available modular front bumper, a completely unique front clip, and Tremor Active Orange accents both inside and out. Finally, the range-topping Raptor has been treated to the same modular front bumper, plus the Shelter Green paint option, new graphics, and Fox dual live-valve shocks with position-sensitive compression control and continuously variable rebound controls.
The 2024 Ford F-150 is slated to launch in early 2024. In the meantime, FoMoCo notes that it has simplified the ordering process by reducing complexity by 90 percent, while making features such as the extended range fuel tank and Class IV trailer hitch standard across the 2024 F-150 lineup.

Is it dream or nightmare?
This effort to streamline things kinda sucks.
Platinum now is only available with the 3.5L, no V8. Lariat you can get the V8, but not power running boards. Massage seats too are locked out from lariat trim.
Looks like King Ranch and Platinum are both locked out of the V8.
And in the end, it’s not any cheaper. So it’s not like there was any benefit to them doing this either. The only good news from any of this is that almost all platinums will have the black appearance package, and very few, if any, will have the regular Ecoboost.
Oh and what happened to the new hybrid offering?
Where is the 2024 F150 build and price available? It isn’t on the Ford build and price site.
Still no configurator for the ’24 Tremor….my dealer says not until Spring ’24….you can build it on the FORD website but still can’t order…..Oh and yes of course the cost went way up…..402A includes everything at $10K+ now.
