To date, Ford Authority has spotted a large number of refreshed 2024 Ford F-150 pickups out testing, many of them devoid of any sort of camouflage. That list includes the base XL trim, Tremor, Lariat, Platinum, Raptor, Raptor R, a Heritage Edition, an XLT with the STX Package, and a Platinum with the optional Black Appearance Package, just to name a few. Now, Ford Authority has spotted a 2024 Ford F-150 XL finished in Iconic Silver Metallic – also with no camo – that’s equipped with some interesting lighting elements on its roof as well.
As was the case with the previously-spotted 2024 Ford F-150 XL, this base pickup has no chrome or LED fog lights up front, just a black grille and a new headlight design that ditches the signature lighting around the assemblies for bars that are mounted in the center. The revised front bumper is finished in chrome in this instance, and features cutouts for fog lamps.
Moving down the side, there aren’t really any major changes to note when compared to the existing 2023 model, which is the case across the refreshed 2024 F-150 lineup. This particular XL model is equipped with a tool box and silver six-spoke wheels, along with black door handles and side mirrors.
In the rear, we get a good look at the revised taillight design that ditches the old “c-clamp” look for one that more closely resembles what’s present on the F-150 Lightning, along with an updated rear bumper that’s finished in chrome in this instance. The tailgate remains unchanged from the current model, however.
This particular prototype is equipped with something we haven’t seen before, however – a pair of lights atop the rear portion of the cab, though it’s unclear what they may be used for – perhaps construction or road maintenance, but most likely not anything one might find on a law enforcement model like the F-150 Police Responder.
In addition to these styling updates, the 2024 Ford F-150 will bring forth a number of changes to the popular model, including new 22-inch wheels, an available modular front bumper, a redesigned Ford Blue Oval badge, and a new trim level dubbed the Lobo. Inside the cabin, we’ve come across both horizontal and vertical infotainment screens in a revised layout that will somewhat emulate the all-new 2023 Ford Super Duty, too. The 2024 F-150 is scheduled to make its official debut at the upcoming 2023 Detroit Auto Show, where a new hybrid variant is set to be revealed, too.
We’ll have more on the 2024 Ford F-150 soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for the latest Ford F-Series news, Ford F-150 news, and comprehensive Ford news coverage.

Headlights resemble previous generation Silverado + Tahoe! What the hell
Hehehe, FURD, copy, copy, copy.
I can’t even afford an XL……
In the past, “Lobo” was a Mexican version of Ford, if I recall correctly. Maybe they are showing this truck completely uncovered to throw off the media.
