2024 Ford Super Duty Adds New Glacier Gray Color: First Look

The 2024 Ford Super Duty gains two new colors, including Darkened Bronze Metallic and Glacier Gray Metallic Tri-Coat. Here’s a first look at Glacier Gray Metallic Tri-Coat.

Glacier Gray Metallic is identifiable by paint code R7, and is offered on the 2024 Ford Super Duty Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum and Limited trims as a no-cost option. It’s able to be outfitted in conjunction with all interior colorways, which are as follows:

  • Medium Dark Slate
  • Baja
  • Black Onyx
  • Black Onyx/Carmelo
  • Java
  • Admiral Blue/Light Slate

Darkened Bronze Metallic is one of 10 available exterior colors for the 2024 Ford Super Duty. The entire color lineup is as follows (relevant paint codes listed in parentheses):

  • Agate Black Metallic (UM)
  • Antimatter Blue Metallic (HX)
  • Carbonized Gray Metallic (M7)
  • Iconic Silver Metallic (JS)
  • Oxford White (Z1)
  • Race Red (PQ)
  • Rapid Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat (D4)
  • Star White Metallic Tri-Coat (AZ)
  • Glacier Gray Metallic Tri-Coat (R7) (new for 2024)
  • Darkened Bronze Metallic (LJ) (new for 2024)

Finally, the following list outlines all available trim levels for the 2024 Ford Super Duty:

  • XL
  • XLT
  • Lariat
  • King Ranch
  • Platinum
  • Limited

The 2024 Ford Super Duty order banks were opened back in July, kicking off the second year of the refreshed pickup. As such, it doesn’t feature many changes or updates after its substantial refresh for the 2023 model year. However, it’s noteworthy that the lower-tiered XL and XLT trims now feature standard Onboard Scales and Smart Hitch for towing.

The Ford Super Duty has already been nominated for the 2024 North American Truck of the Year Award, and is one of 25 models currently up for the honor. Finalists in the running will be announced on November 16th, and the winners will be revealed at in Detroit on January 4th, 2024.

  9. It’s still gray and boring. More importantly it will be another invisible vehicle in foggy, rainy, snowy, etc weather since most people don’t drive with lights on. I don’t know the laws in other states but in FL it’s illegal to drive without head & tail light in bad weather day or night.

  12. Glacier Gray option is also not available without being forced to pay the Chrome package penalty… 🙁 I would love to be able to order it without having the chrome.
