As Ford Authority reported a few weeks ago, the refreshed 2024 Ford F-150 is set to make its official debut at the 2023 Detroit Auto Show – along with a new hybrid variant – which is set to kick off next week. Any time The Blue Oval updates its perennially best-selling pickup, it’s obviously big news and a rather special occasion, and as such, the automaker asked owners of vintage models to send the company photos of their Ford F-Series pickups earlier this week. It seems as quite a few folks answered that call, but Ford is still seeking pictures of trucks from four particular generations to show off at the upcoming “F-150 Fest” that precedes the 2024 Ford F-150 reveal.
Help! We still need 4 generations of the F-Series for the event in Detroit on 9/12. If you have a GEN 2 (53-56) 3 (57-60) 9 (92-96) or 11 (04-08) send a photo to [email protected]! I will even throw in a Ford Heritage Vault t-shirt! This will be a fun event to be a part of! pic.twitter.com/H7tmyjItHh

“Help! We still need four generations of the F-Series for the event in Detroit on 9/12,” Ted Ryan, Ford archives and heritage brand manager, wrote via Twitter (or X, as it’s otherwise known. “If you have a GEN 2 (53-56) 3 (57-60) 9 (92-96) or 11 (04-08) send a photo to [email protected]! I will even throw in a Ford Heritage Vault t-shirt! This will be a fun event to be a part of!”
While it’s unclear how these photos will be used in the F-150 Fest event, we do know that it’s part of the 2024 Ford F-150 reveal, which will celebrate the latest update for the long-running, best-selling model. However, we already know quite a bit about the refreshed pickup, as, Ford Authority has spotted a host of 2024 Ford F-150 pickups out testing over the past few months, including a base XL trim, Tremor, Lariat, Platinum, Raptor, Raptor R, a Heritage Edition, an XLT with the STX Package, and a Platinum with the optional Black Appearance Package giving us a good idea of what to expect from the forthcoming pickup, including its revised exterior styling and updated interior.
In addition to the typical styling and tech updates, the 2024 Ford F-150 will bring forth a number of changes to the popular model, including new 22-inch wheels, an available modular front bumper, a redesigned Ford Blue Oval badge, and a new trim level dubbed the Lobo. As Ford Authority reported earlier this week, order banks for the 2024 F-150 are scheduled to open up the afternoon of September 13th, at which time the build and price configurator will also go live.
We’ll have more on the 2024 Ford F-150 soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for the latest Ford F-Series news, Ford F-150 news, and comprehensive Ford news coverage.
