The Ford Authority Take
FoMoCo’s solid commercial performance in the South American country continued in August as sales volume experienced notable growth. Not only did Ford registered the month’s highest increase in Argentina market, but August also represented its ninth consecutive month of growth there.
The Ford Ranger was the primary model responsible The Blue Ovals’ growth. Not only did the pickup establish itself as the brand’s best-selling model in the country during the month, but it was also the best-selling midsize pickup in Argentina for the first time in many years. In fact, the Ranger overtook the Toyota Hilux for the segment-specific sales crown thanks to the arrival of the all-new, next-gen Ranger.
The Ford Transit was The Blue Oval’s second best-selling model in Argentina, posting 220 units. Other models to see growth were the Territory, Mustang, and F-150.
