Ford Colombia Sales Fall 23 Percent In August 2023

Ford Colombia sales decreased 23 percent to 446 units in August 2023 compared to August 2022. Individual model sales performance was as follows:

Ford Bronco Sport sales increased 204.35 percent to 70 units
Ford Edge sales decreased 43.75 percent to 18 units
Ford Escape sales decreased 71.06 percent to 79 units
Ford Expedition sales totaled 0 units
Ford Explorer sales decreased 6.67 percent to 42 units
Ford F-Series sales totaled 40 units
Ford Mustang sales decreased 100 percent to 0 units
Ford Ranger sales decreased 12.44 percent to 169 units

During the first eight months of the 2023 calendar year, Ford Colombia sales increased four percent to 3,720 units.

The Ford Authority Take

Ford Colombia sales fell again during August, with a noticeably higher drop than that experienced in July. As such, this represents Ford’s second consecutive sales decline in the Colombian market. However, the brand is still in the green for sales at this point in 2023.

In fact, most Ford Colombia models sold fewer units in August than the same month the previous year. The massive double-digit contraction of almost 200 units of the Ford Escape stands out as a sore point, as well as the notable commercial setback of the best-selling Ford Ranger both year after year and with respect to the solid performance from the previous month.

The only nameplate that managed to increase its registrations in August was the Ford Bronco Sport. The compact crossover continued its solid performance in Colombia with a considerable triple-digit increase that represents its third consecutive monthly increase.
