Ford F-150 Lightning Discount Non-Existent In September 2023

FoMoCo appears to be taking a step back from offering Ford F-150 Lightning discount and incentive deals during September 2023, as there are none available this month.

While Ford itself isn’t offering a Ford F-150 Lightning discount this month, certain models may qualify for the $7,500 Federal EV tax credit as long as the overall price of the EV pickup does not exceed $80,000.

2024 Ford F-150 Lightning side view

For the sake of context, below, we’ve outlined the most significant Ford F-150 Lightning discount offers (or, sometimes, the lack thereof) throughout the 2023 calendar year:

The continued lack of Ford F-150 Lightning incentive offers can be at least partially attributed to high demand and low supply of the EV pickup. In fact, production of the EV pickup only recently restarted at the Rouge Electric Vehicle Center following a lengthy planned shutdown as the plant itself was expanded. This upgrade will help increase production to 150,000 units of the F-150 Lightning annually. That number will also represent a sizable percentage of Ford’s overall production run rate goal of building 600,000 electric vehicles per year by 2024 and two million by 2026.

Ford F-150 Lightning Pricing

For reference, here are the applicable 2023 F-150 Lightning trim levels and their corresponding starting MSRPs, including the $1,795 destination charge:

  • XLT – $58,135
  • Lariat – $73,135
  • Platinum – $94,185

We strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information about the vehicles and their incentives in question, but errors and misprints can happen. In addition, the manufacturer can change incentive information at any time and without notice. 1. Base price of 60K for a low distance EV. C’Mon Ford. Break the mold. Bring back the Ranchero as an EV with better aero and ability to tow. In fact make an affordable EV with almost NO tech in it. How about you let us use our phones and you make an app that can talk the car for battery pre-conditioning. What ever it takes to bring to market a sub 40K EV with great EV mileage.
