As Ford Authority previously reported, the refreshed 2024 Ford F-150 is set to make its official debut at the 2023 Detroit Auto Show on September 12th at a special event called “F-150 Fest.” Any time The Blue Oval updates its perennially best-selling pickup, it’s obviously big news and a rather special occasion, and as such, the automaker has also asked owners to send the company photos of their heritage Ford F-Series pickups to feature in this presentation. Now, however, sources familiar with the matter have exclusively told Ford Authority when, exactly, we can expect to be able to order a refreshed 2024 Ford F-150.
2024 Ford F-150 retail order banks are scheduled to open the afternoon of September 13th – the day after the refreshed model is revealed – at which time the build and price configurator will also go live. This means that eager customers won’t have to wait long to order their next new pickup after seeing what The Blue Oval has in store for it.
Of course, we already know quite a bit about the 2024 Ford F-150, as Ford Authority has spotted a host of refreshed pickups out testing over the past several months. This list includes a base XL trim, Tremor, Lariat, Platinum, Raptor, Raptor R, a Heritage Edition, an XLT with the STX Package, and a Platinum with the optional Black Appearance Package, just to name a few.
In addition to revised exterior styling, an updated interior, and the typical tech updates, the 2024 Ford F-150 will bring forth a number of changes to the popular model, including new 22-inch wheels, an available modular front bumper, a redesigned Ford Blue Oval badge, and a new trim level dubbed the Lobo, along with a new hybrid variant, too.
We’ll have more on the 2024 Ford F-150 soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for the latest Ford F-Series news, Ford F-150 news, and comprehensive Ford news coverage.

I think the facelift is nice overall.
Not entirely sure why Ford never countered the Trail Boss (Tremor and Rattler don’t count)
I am hoping the Lobo is their answer.
An STX style value package with a 2″ lift from factory would be hugely popular.
The trail boss is just a “Z71+” What more do you want? The Tremor and Rattler are direct competitors to trail boss and zr2. The last thing we need is a 4th offroad trim for the same truck. FX4<Rattler<Tremor<Raptor.
If the lobo is even real I genuinely hope it’s a true *sporty* truck… ala RST or Ram Sport. Both of which look more designated than the “sport package” F150; which is little more than painted bumpers.
My hope is the lobo is the new tremor, and the tremor becomes a sport package. Tremor could be built off the lariat but with a 2/4 drop, stiffer sway bars, and a gnarly sport exhaust. Interior would be black with red stitching, and an optional Ford performance interior that does red white and blue stitching with alcantara inserts. Paddle shifters would come standard. 3 engines offered, the 5.0 as base, powerboost, and the 5.2 supercharged.
A guy can dream, right?
Agreed! Would love a slightly lowered AWD sport truck. With a sweet interior and styling to match. Basically an F150 version of the Explorer ST.
