The list of available Blue Oval diecast models has exploded in recent months, particularly in the pony car realm. There, the company is set to release toy versions of the all-new S650 generation 2024 Ford Mustang, as well as The Drive Home to the Mustang Stampede Series 1 collection, which consists of diecast versions of a 1965 Ford Mustang, a 1976 Mustang Cobra II, a 1980 Cobra, a 1992 LX 5.0 coupe, a 2010 Shelby GT500, and a 2021 Mach 1. Greenlight Collectibles also revealed a diecast version of the famous 1967 Ford Mustang “She Country Special” back in 2021, and debuted that model back in July. Now, Hot Wheels has unveiled its latest pony car diecast model – the Elite 64 Series Modified 1969 Ford Mustang.
This new Hot Wheels Elite 64 Series Modified 1969 Ford Mustang is – as the name suggests – far from stock, and in fact, is more of a radical reimagination of the iconic first-generation model. That includes a completely removable hood and front end, Metallic Acapulco Blue paint with a black rear wing and Mustang logos, and Real Riders fixed-axle wheels with metallic gray painted rims.
Mounted on a metal matte black chassis, the Elite 64 Series Modified 1969 Ford Mustang features a two-tone engine bay finished in black and Cool Metallic Gray, light smoke-tinted windows, and a Cool Metallic Gray interior with a black seat, steering wheel, and dashboard, as well as a blue roll bar to add a bit of contrast.
This new Mustang diecast comes packaged with an illustrated blister card and a Kar Keepers clamshell case, and is set to release on Tuesday, September 5th at 9am PT for a retail price of $20. Those interested in purchasing one can do so by heading over here.
