Over the past few months, Hot Wheels has added not just one, but two different 1962 Ford F-100 diecast pickups to its members-only Red Line Club (RLC) lineup, including a cool “Genuine Ford Parts Sales & Service” hauler, as well as a custom orange and white example of the unibody pickup to boot. Now, fans of the 1962 Ford F-100 in general can score yet another RLC exclusive from Hot Wheels, this time, a model the toymaker calls the “Pink Edition.”
The 1962 Ford F-100 Pink Edition gets its name from an obvious place – the diecast model’s Spectraflame pink exterior finish, which is complemented by a matte white roof and pink flames on the sides of the ZAMAC body, along with authentic Blue Oval logos. Other notable features on the outside of the 1:64 scale model include light smoke-tinted windows, an opening hood, and a set of Real Riders five-spoke mag wheels with red lines.
Peek underneath, and you’ll find that this 1962 F-100 rides on a full-metal, silver painted chassis that looks the part. Open the hood, and there’s also a highly-detailed engine bay with a straight-six powerplant resting in there, while an equally detailed white interior adds a bit more contrast for the bright exterior hue.
The 1962 Ford F-100 Pink Edition comes packaged on an illustrated blister card and inside of a Kar Keepers clamshell case. Red Line Club members can purchase up to two of these cool diecast pickups at a cost of $40 each, or up to five per household, with the new model set to go on sale tomorrow – Tuesday, October 10th, 2023 – at 9am Pacific Time. Those that aren’t already RLC members can secure a membership for a cost of $9.99 per year, which gets them access to these special models and other various perks, too.
