1999 Ford Taurus SE Wagon With Just 42K Miles Up For Auction

In recent months, we’ve seen a couple of very nice, low-mile examples of the Ford Taurus and Mercury Sable wagon pop up for sale at various collector car auctions, including a 32k-mile 1992 Taurus and a 2005 Sable that wound up selling for a pretty healthy price. Now, that trend continues, this time with a pristine 1999 Ford Taurus SE wagon that has just 42k miles showing on the odometer, and now, it’s up for grabs at Bring a Trailer.

1999 Ford Taurus SE Wagon - Interior 001

This particular 1999 Ford Taurus SE wagon spent most of its life in sunny, dry California before moving to Washington, but it certainly hasn’t been used very much over the past two-plus decades, as we can tell by its condition and mileage total. On the outside, its Vibrant White Clearcoat paint shows a few minor blemishes and there are a handful of scratches on the factory wheels, but otherwise, this family hauler is in pretty fantastic shape in every regard.

The same goes for the interior, which features Medium Prairie Tan cloth seats and amenities such as a six-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, rubber floor mats, an AM/FM/cassette stereo, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, remote keyless entry, automatic climate control, cruise control, power windows and door locks, and illuminated vanity mirrors and passenger grab handles, which were included as part of the optional Comfort Group.

Power for this Taurus wagon comes from the naturally-aspirated Ford 24-valve 3.0L V6 Duratec engine, which features dual overhead camshafts and was factory-rated to produce 200 horsepower and 200 pound-feet of torque and is mated to a four-speed automatic  transmission. Once relegated to commuter status, this Taurus wagon is once again proof that collectors are turning their attention to these more modern rides, and in that regard, they don’t get much nicer than this one.
