2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E Order Banks Closing Today

As Ford Authority reported back in April, The Blue Oval previously closed 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E order banks for a short time as it faced demand that outstripped supply at that time. However, as the automaker was able to ramp up production significantly following that decision, it reopened order banks for the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E in May, at which time it also launched a new lithium-iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack for standard range models and subsequently dropped prices. Now, however, 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E order banks are set to close for good today, sources familiar with the matter have told Ford Authority.

The final day for dealers to submit new customer retail orders for the 2023 Mustang Mach-E is today, October 10th, 2023, for all models, as build and price ordering for the EV crossover will close at 8am EDT. Dealers have until 4pm EDT today to submit new retail orders in the system, which is also the deadline to complete acceptance of any new retail orders from the eCommerce system as well. For now, it’s unclear when 2024 Mach-E order banks will open, though FoMoCo will announce those details at a future date.

In its third model year of production, the Mustang Mach-E received a host of notable changes, including the aforementioned addition of the new LFP battery pack, which adds 45 horsepower to eAWD  models while also cutting DC fast charging speeds, enabling these vehicles to charge to 100 percent without battery degradation, and it added more range to boot – 250 miles for RWD models and 226 miles for eAWD units.

The 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E introduced a few other small changes as well, including the addition and deletion of two exterior colors, a panoramic fixed-glass roof with infrared reflective windshield became standard on GT and GT Performance Edition models, along with some new wheel options, and standard all-wheel drive for the California Route 1 was added to that trim. Perhaps the biggest news for 2023 is the deletion of the Ice White Appearance Package and the introduction of the new dark-themed Nite Pony Package, however.
