2023 Lincoln Aviator Order Banks Close Today

The 2023 Lincoln Aviator soldiered on mostly unchanged for the new model year, save for a few minor tweaks following the luxurious crossover’s most recent refresh in the 2020 model year. Bigger things are coming for the Aviator and its platform-mate, the Ford Explorer, over the next few years, however. In the meantime, those wishing to place an order for a 2023 Lincoln Aviator will need to act quickly, as order banks for that particular model are set to close today, sources familiar with the matter have told Ford Authority.

2023 Lincoln Aviator retail order banks are indeed set to close at 4pm EST today, October 2nd, 2023. Dealers will have until Wednesday, October 4th to complete the Customer Order Verification Process (COVP) so that those orders can be considered for scheduling. Additionally, as has been the case for some time now, Ford notes that supply chain constraints continue to play a big role in whether or not an order is scheduled for production, too.

This news comes as the ongoing United Auto Workers (UAW) strike expanded this past Friday to include the Chicago Assembly plant, which is where the Aviator and Explorer are built. Additionally, a planned refresh for the 2024 Explorer was recently pushed back to the 2025 model year, though it’s unclear if the Aviator will follow the same path as its less-luxurious platform mate.

In the meantime, the 2023 Lincoln Aviator presented buyers with a few updates for its latest model year, including the addition of two new exterior colors, while standard seating on Reserve models changed to 10-way for the driver and 8-way for the passenger seat. Notably, the Aviator – along with the Explorer – were treated to a more comprehensive refresh in China for the 2022 model year that included some styling updates and new tech, however.
