The Blue Oval has launched a bevy of new products in Mexico over the past few months, greatly expanding its lineup there with the addition of the refreshed 2023 Ford Escape, the redesigned 2023 Ford Super Duty, the all-new 2024 Ford Mustang, and the limited-edition Ford Bronco Heritage Limited, to name just a few. As Ford Authority reported last June, FoMoCo also began taking reservations for the all-electric Ford Mustang Mach-E in very limited quantities at that time, and now, the Mach-E has officially launched there in both Premium and GT guise.
The Ford Mustang Mach-E Premium is equipped with two electric motors churning out a combined 346 horsepower and 428 pound-foot of torque, as well as the 91 kWh extended range battery and an eAWD system, resulting in a range of 465 kilometers (289 miles). Ford is also offering free installation of its EV chargers at a customer’s home or office, and those same customers can choose between seven exterior color options and two interior colors to boot.
Additionally, the Ford Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition is also joining the automaker’s Mexican lineup, and generates 480 horsepower and 634 pound-feet of torque from its twin electric motors. Customers can couple the Nite Pony package with their new EV crossover as well, with pricing starting out at $1,440,000 MXN ($82,307 USD) for the Mach-E Premium or $1,699,000 MXN ($97,110 USD) for the GT Performance Edition.
“Deliver electrical products that are capable of maintaining or surpassing the experience of having a Ford. This is why we find more and more hybrid vehicles such as Escape and Lobo Limited, as well as electric vehicles such as E-Transit and Mustang Mach-E,” said Lucien Pinto, Director of Marketing and Sales at Ford of Mexico. “This reinforces Ford’s commitment to the environment and normalizes the use of clean energy.”
We’ll have more on the Mach-E soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Mustang Mach-E news and 24/7 Ford news coverage.
