Continuing an ongoing trend, The Blue Oval has once again decided to withhold any Ford Transit discount or incentive offers during October 2023. As has been the case for almost two years now, incentive and discount offers toward FoMoCo’s full-size van range have been sporadic, so this outcome is no surprise.
For the sake of context, below is a list outlining the discounts (or, perhaps more accurately, the lack thereof) for the Transit throughout 2022 as well as year to date in 2023.
2022 Calendar Year
- April – no incentives
- May – no incentives
- June – no incentives
- July – no incentives
- August – no incentives
- September – no incentives
- October – no incentives
- November – no incentives
- December – $1,000 Bonus Cash for military and first responders
2023 Calendar Year
- January – no incentives
- February – no incentives
- March – no incentives
- April – no incentives
- May – no incentives
- June – no incentives
- July – no incentives
- August – no incentives
- September – no incentives
- October – no incentives
It’s unlikely that FoMoCo sees any need to incentivize the purchase or lease of the Ford Transit, considering that the full-size van consistently dominates its competitive segment, as it did during the second quarter of 2023. Demand is further driven by the new Transit Trail variant that joined the lineup for the 2023 model year, which is an upfit-ready off-road-oriented van that is geared toward the van and outdoor life enthusiast.

Comment
Ford sucks again because America doesn’t get the Euro version of the Transit vans, the Tourneo Sport because the crybabies don’t want us to have the quality and fun Euro autos are far more commonly built with than their sorry American counterparts.O, an automatic trans on a Cobra or RS variant would be nice too. Probably won’t happen.
