In recent months, we’ve seen a rather large influx of nicely-kept, low-mile Ford Taurus models pop up for sale at various online car auction sites, signaling that the once-incredibly-popular model is now gaining the interest of collectors. That includes models of various vintages, such as this 1992 LX wagon with just 32k miles, as well as a 1993 SHO with 43k miles. Now, those in the market for a pristine family hauler from the recent past can also bid on this rather nice 1993 Ford Taurus GL wagon that’s currently up for grabs over at Bring a Trailer.
With just 49k miles on the clock, this 1993 Ford Taurus GL wagon has certainly been used sparingly over the years, living its entire life in California with the original owner until the seller acquired it earlier this year. Now, it’s up for grabs again, with very few flaws in its Crystal Blue Frost Metallic paint such as a couple of typical dents and scratches. The same goes for the factory wheels, which are wrapped with a pretty new set of 205/65 Ironman iMove Gen 3 A/S tires.
Peek inside, and one will find a pretty well-kept cabin as well, one with gray cloth seats, a rear-facing third-row bench, along with amenities such as power windows and door locks, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, and an AM/FM cassette stereo. The seller has done some work to ensure everything here is functioning properly and looking nice too, replacing the windshield and washer pump, the door panel attachment clips, and converting the air conditioning system to R134a refrigerant.
Power for this particular Ford Taurus comes from the naturally-aspirated, fuel-injected 3.8L V6 Essex engine that was factory rated to send 140 horsepower and 215 pound-feet of torque to the front wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission. In stellar condition with few flaws, this Taurus wagon continues a trend that emerged recently, and we don’t doubt that it will attract its fair share of attention at auction as a result.
We’ll have more cool auction finds to share soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Taurus news and ongoing Ford news coverage.

I’ve had four Ford Taurus and loved them all. With the exception of the one I have now. 2006 Ford Taurus SE. I’ve had to do mechanical work to, that’s understandable. But under all the floor boards and under doors rust, rust. I never had any problems with all the others I owned. I tried to repair but wondering if it’s going to do any good. It has about 190,000 miles on it, and I hate to get rid of it. It kinda grew on me. But I have a feeling I’ll have to be sending it to it grave. Never saw one rust like that, very disappointed. Very disappointed 😞
