2024 Ford F-150 Adds New Darkened Bronze Color: First Look

The 2024 Ford F-150 gains two new colors, including Darkened Bronze Metallic and Shelter Green. Here’s a first look at the former, Darkened Bronze Metallic.

Darkened Bronze Metallic is tagged with paint code LJ, and is offered as an option for the 2024 Ford F-150 XLT, Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum trims. It can be combined with three interior colorways, including Medium Dark Slate, Norias/Mesa, and Smoked Truffle.

As a reminder, all exterior colors for all 2024 Ford F-150 trims are as follows (relevant paint codes listed in parentheses):

  • Agate Black Metallic (UM)
  • Antimatter Blue Metallic (HX)
  • Atlas Blue Metallic (B3)
  • Carbonized Gray Metallic (M7)
  • Iconic Silver Metallic (JS)
  • Oxford White (YZ)
  • Rapid Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat (D4)
  • Avalanche (DR)
  • Star White Metallic Tricoat (AZ)
  • Darkened Bronze Metallic (LJ) (new for 2024)
  • Shelter Green (DB) (new for 2024)

Meanwhile, the following list represents all interior colorways:

  • Medium Dark Slate
  • Norias/Mesa
  • Smoked Truffle
  • Black
  • Black/Slate Gray
  • Black/Bronze
  • Black/Blue
  • Java

Finally, the following shows all 2024 Ford F-150 trim levels:

  • XL
  • XLT
  • Lariat
  • King Ranch
  • Platinum
  • Limited
  • Tremor
  • Raptor

The 2024 Ford F-150 benefits from a midcycle refresh, debuting in September with an updated design that grants the pickup standard LED lighting across the board. Meanwhile, each trim from Lariat on up receives daytime running light (DRL) “C-clamp” signature lighting, along with new wheel options, a revised grille, and blacked-out trim for Platinum models.

Meanwhile, the range-topping Raptor trim gains new styling as well, such as a larger power dome hood, wheel lip molding graphics, and Code Orange accents interspersed throughout. It also features Fox dual live-valve shocks for maximum off-road performance right off the showroom floor. On a similar note, the Tremor trim also features a new modular bumper, along with exclusive graphics to set it apart from the herd.

All of those upgrades come at a price, as the 2024 Ford F-150 is a bit more expensive than the outgoing 2023 model, as previously reported by Ford Authority. Customers interested in the forthcoming pickup can now utilize the online configurator and pricing tool to explore trims, packages and options. Production of the 2024 F-150 is expected to begin on December 18th, 2023 at the Dearborn Truck Plant.

At least it’s a lot better than the “Harvest Bronze” that Chevy is selling that looks like poo. Not sure what was being harvested…
