2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E Premium Gets New Standard Roof

Entering its fourth model year, the Ford Mustang Mach-E isn’t set to receive any sort of major changes that might constitute a refresh or redesign, but the EV crossover is being treated to a few notable updates, as Ford Authority has reported over the past handful of months. Now, the 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E Premium trim, in particular, is set to receive another update for the new model year – the addition of a new standard roof, sources familiar with the matter have told Ford Authority.

Previously, the Mach-E Premium came standard with the Panoramic Fixed-Glass Roof, but that will no longer be the case. Instead, the 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E Premium will now come equipped with the standard roof, though the Panoramic Fixed-Glass Roof will still be available, albeit as a standalone option.

In addition to this change, the 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E is in line for a few other minor updates for the new model year. Notably, those include the deletion of the previously-available California Route 1 trim, as well as the introduction of the all-new, rally racing-inspired Mach-E Rally. On top of that, the 2024 Mach-E will also gain at least two bronze wheel options– a 19-inch Sinister Bronze painted aluminum wheel that will be optional on the Premium trim, and a second design, though details surrounding that option remain unclear at the moment. In any event, these will be the first bronze wheels offered on the Mach-E since its launch for the 2021 model year, though that particular hue has become increasing popular – and available – in recent years.

As Ford Authority reported early this month, order banks for the 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E Select and Premium trim levels opened up back on November 2nd, 2023. As for the Mach-E GT and Rally trims, order banks will open at a later, as yet unspecified date.
