Ford Bolsters Public Policy Team With More DC Veterans

In recent years, Ford has added a host of people to its executive lineup that have vast experience dealing with the U.S. government, which makes perfect sense given the highly-regulated nature of its business, as well as the current shift toward electrification. That list includes Jon Huntsman – the former governor of Utah that previously worked with both the Obama and Trump administrations – who was named the company’s vice chair of policy back in 2021, as well as multi-time chief of staff Jessica Carter, who was hired as Ford’s new head of U.S. federal government affairs this past August. Now, Ford has once again bolstered its public policy team with the addition of three more Washington D.C. insiders, according to The Hill.

First up, we have Deanne Millison, who has a pretty extensive history working with government entities after serving as the director for the city of Chicago under former Mayor Rahm Emanuel, the deputy chief of staff and legislative director for former Senator and now Vice President Kamala Harris, and – most recently – chief economic adviser to Harris. Now, Millison will head to The Blue Oval as its new senior director on the automaker’s public policy and government affairs team.

Next, we have Elizabeth Kosobucki, who is the former director for Europe in the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative’s Office of Europe and the Middle East. At Ford, Kosobucki will take over the position of director for trade policy strategy in the company’s public policy and government affairs team.

Finally, Alec Rogers is also joining Ford’s public policy and government affairs team as the new director of government affairs, tax, and finance policy. Previously, Rogers held the position of legislative director for former representative Nick Smith and as the Republican counsel to the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations.
