Ford Expedition Wins 2024 Best CPO Value In America Award

Aside from earning accolades such as a Kelley Blue Book Best Buy Award and a place on the KBB Best Family Cars list, the Ford Expedition has also proven to be a great find on the used vehicle market, winning a 2023 Best Certified Pre-Owned Value in America Award from Vincentric by topping the Large SUV category last year. Now, the Ford Expedition has repeated that feat, once again beating out its competition in Vincentric’s 2024 Best CPO Value in America Awards, which were just revealed.

The Ford Expedition managed to once again earn a win in this year’s CPO awards for a handful of reasons, beating out seven of its rivals in the process. According to Vincentric, those factors include the Expedition’s expected ownership costs that are 4.9 percent below anticipated levels, its best-in-class fuel economy, and the fact that the Blue Oval SUV has the lowest operating costs and maintenance costs in its class, too.

To determine the 2024 Best CPO Value in America Award winners, Vincentric conducted a statistical analysis to discover which vehicles had lower than expected ownership costs given their market segment and price. The company analyzed over 18,000 vehicle configurations using eight cost factors to do this – depreciation, fees and taxes, financing, fuel, insurance, maintenance, opportunity cost, and repairs. These costs were measured while taking into account the CPO warranty offered by each manufacturer while also applying mileage requirements necessary to be authorized as an OEM CPO vehicle. Each CPO vehicle was evaluated in all 50 states plus Washington DC, with the assumption that each would be driven 15,000 miles annually over five years.
