With the 2023 SEMA Show kicking off earlier this week, a large number of automakers and automotive aftermarket companies are showing off the latest and greatest in terms of parts, accessories, new packages, and custom vehicles. Thus far, The Blue Oval has revealed the 2024 Ford Mustang FP800S concept package, as well as the Ford Bronco and Ford Ranger Ford Performance Off-Road Vehicle (ORV) packages, and the Ford Bronco Sport Blue Free Wheeling, while Steeda showed off its McQueen Racing F-150 Off-Road Edition. Now, FoMoCo has pulled the wraps (pun intended) off yet another cool new product – vinyl wraps for select models.
Ford has been making and selling vehicle wraps for quite a few years to this point, but its new custom vinyl wraps take that to the proverbial next level. Customers will be able to choose from 60 different colors, as well as three finishes – satin, matte, and gloss – each available through the official Ford Vinyl Wraps catalog for select models that include the current-gen Ford F-150, Ford Mustang, Ford Bronco, and Ford Explorer.
These wraps are designed by Blue Oval engineers with an eye toward quality, and have been developed in a way that allows for special installation techniques that ensure factory sensors and driver-assist features continue to work as they should. The wraps will be installed by professional shops that are part of an independent network, who will reportedly be able to complete the job in two weeks or less from the time a customer orders it to the finished product.
Early next year, customers that want to purchase one of these new vinyl wraps will be able to preview the available colors to see what they’ll look like on their vehicles. At launch, only those in select states will be able to purchase these wraps, however – Michigan, Florida, Texas, and California, though Ford expects to expand that list quickly.
We’ll have more on Ford Vinyl Wraps soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for 24/7 Ford news coverage.
