Gone but not forgotten, the Ford Focus still holds a special place in the hearts of many, all across the globe. As such, the more potent SVT model has become an increasingly popular target at various online collector car auctions, as we’ve seen low-mile examples of both a 2003 and 2004 Focus SVT hit the virtual block and sell for solid money in recent months. Now, we have yet another pristine example to add to that growing list – this 2003 Ford Focus ZX3 SVT that has just 345 miles on the clock and is now up for grabs at Bring a Trailer.
This particular Ford Focus SVT is a bit more special than most, given the fact that it’s one of just 301 examples finished in Competition Orange in the 2003 model year, but its shockingly low mileage total is perhaps even more notable. Despite changing hands a few times over the years, this Focus isn’t even really broken in yet, and its stellar condition reflects that fact. The Focus SVT is also equipped with some desirable optional equipment like the European Appearance Package, which adds a power sunroof and HID headlights to the mix.
The same goes for the Midnight Black interior, which features a host of amenities including leather seating, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, air conditioning, cruise control, power windows and door locks, and a factory Audiophile sound system with an in-dash six-disc CD changer.
Along with an SVT-tuned suspension and four-wheel disc brakes, this 2003 Ford Focus SVT is also equipped with the 2.0L I-4 Zebec powerplant, which was factory rated to send 170 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque to the front wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. This nicely-equipped example of the hot hatch originally sold for $22,540, but with bids already cresting the $16k mark, it looks like a safe bet to sell for more than that when the auction ends in a few days.
We’ll have more cool auction finds like this to share soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford Focus news and continuous Ford news coverage.
