2024 Ford Lineup Gets Unique Discount Through April

Over the past few weeks – as has historically been the case, at least prior to the onset of the pandemic in 2020 – automakers have begun adding year-end discounts to various models in an attempt to ramp up sales before the new year arrives. This is true of The Blue Oval, which recently launched a $1,500 United Auto Workers (UAW) discount, as well as an “Aged Inventory Bonus Cash” deal that applies to select models that have been in stock at a dealer for more 60 days in select markets. Now, the 2023 and 2024 Ford lineup has been treated to a rather unique discount for the next few months, according to a dealer bulletin recently seen by CarsDirect.

Officially called the “$500 Pipeline Tagging Bonus Cash Incentive,” this new deal is only available to customers who wait for their vehicle to arrive at a dealership – via dealer stock orders, however, not custom retail orders. “Vehicles that have been registered to a customer via the ‘Customer Registration’ tool at least 24 hours prior to vehicle arrival on dealer lot are eligible for this incentive,” the bulletin reads, also noting that this offer is good through April 2^nd, 2024.

The good news about this new incentive is that it applies to a wide berth of models, including the refreshed 2024 Ford F-150. However, there are a few notable exclusions, a list that includes the Ford Bronco, Ford Maverick, Ford Mustang Mach-E, and the Ford F-150 Lightning.

These are rather unusual stipulations, but may be in place as a way to enable dealers to better manage their incoming inventory as the year prepares to roll over. With inventory levels soaring in recent months, it makes sense that FoMoCo may want to help dealers move those incoming stock orders more quickly, too.
