2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse Team Left Notes For Buyers

Following a rather long wait ripe with rumors and speculation, the all-new S650 generation 2024 Ford Mustang debuted back in September 2022, and it did so with at least one big surprise – the addition of the all-new, range-topping Dark Horse model accompanied by a number of post-purchase experiences. This track-focused offering has thus far proven to be quite popular among pony car shoppers – if not a bit elusive in some cases – and for good reason, as it has performed incredibly well on the track, and in some cases, has even beaten out far more expensive and exotic offerings in that setting. As it turns out, the 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse team knew that they had something special on their hands, and even went so far as to leave personal notes for buyers, it seems.

Ford enthusiast Chris Cervenka found a note in his glovebox from workers at the Flat Rock Assembly plant congratulating him on his purchase, noting that they built it with “love and pride.” It’s a cool and thoughtful touch by any measure, and one that Ford CEO Jim Farley was happy to share with his own followers as well.

Thus far, the 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse and its counterparts have enjoyed tremendous success in the salesroom after deliveries began back in August. In fact, production of the new pony car at Flat Rock has ramped up significantly over the past few months, and in Q3, the 2024 Mustang was only spending six days on dealer lots, on average. Thus far, most of those buyers are opting for features such as the Electronic Drift Brake, the 10-speed automatic transmission, and optional offerings such as the Performance and Nite Pony packages to boot.

These cars look great! I hope to have one in the coming years. Especially excited to see what the new GT500 will be like.

It will look & perform amazing John! I’ve seen a few pre-production vehicles. Definitely set a new benchmark for GT500. Can’t wait myself ..though a new Dark Horse w/6spd manual would be incredible too.

Reminds me of the days of SVT Fords. We bought a 1999 SVT Contour and it came with a badge that was signed by the engine builder and many other neat items of personlization thanking us for the purchase. And, it also showed that they took responsibility in building the car and were proud of their work. Truly the Ford Way.

YES! Love my 04 SVT Cobra terminator. 4900orig mis. SVT skunk works team was something really special & only Ford seems to be able to make this happen (whenever it seems necessary) for new products. 💯

I had ’00 SVT Contour myself. What a fun, practical & quick sports sedan! Have 04 SVT Cobra terminator now & it too has special hand signed plate on valve covers cause each 4.6L 32V DOHC V8 was hand-built by high seniority (2) man team @Romeo engine plant in Michigan. 💯
