2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally: Live Photo Gallery

The 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally has thus far proved to be a rare breed since its official debut back in September, and we haven’t had much of a chance to check out the off-road-ready EV in the flesh – that is, until the 2023 Detroit Auto Show, where Ford Authority had the opportunity to get up close and personal with the model in real life for the first time.

The 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally is a sporty, aggressive addition to The Blue Oval’s EV family, sporting unique touches such as twin racing stripe decals on the hood and Mach-E Rally bodyside script. Its sloping liftgate is topped with a prominent spoiler to keep it planted at high speeds, which it’s more than capable of achieving, thanks to its beefed-up driveline.

Other upgrades include MagneRide shocks with specially-tuned springs, a 0.8-inch suspension lift, 15.8-inch front brake rotors with Brembo calipers, and protective shielding for both motors, boosted by the RallySport drive mode. The 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E Rally doles out more power than even the range-topping Mach-E GT Performance Edition, with 480 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque on tap from its two electric motors. In order to see what it could really do, FoMoCo built a specialized rally course at its proving grounds in Michigan as part of its year-long development process.

As for the rest of the 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E lineup, the Premium trim gets a standard roof instead of the glass top, while the California Route 1 trim has been dropped for good. Meanwhile, a set of 19-inch Sinister Bronze painted aluminum wheels is now available for the Premium trim for customers looking for a way to add a personal touch to their electric crossovers.

We’ll have more on the Mach-E soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Mustang Mach-E news and continuous Ford news coverage.

  1. A stripe and a spoiler does not make a Rally car. Sad!
