The redesigned Ford Ranger officially launched in Brazil back in June, and wasted no time in terms of attracting eager buyers after racking up 2,000 orders in the first 24 hours they were available and 3,000 sales in its very first week. Since then, The Blue Oval has added a host of trim levels and a new engine for the mid-size pickup in the South American country, which set a new sales record in October while the high-performance off-road-focused Ranger Raptor managed to sell out in around five hours as well. Thus, it should come as no surprise that the Brazilian Ford Ranger parts and accessories catalog is expanding yet again.
Ford just unveiled five new tent models that were developed for the Ranger in partnership with a company called Blue Camping, which is the largest maker of automotive tents in South America. That lineup includes the Traditional Expedition and Expedition Deluxe tents, which can accommodate three or four people for overnight stays in the wilderness, while the Traditional Adventure model can fit up to three people.
“Ford and Blue Camping share the brand values of action, for demanding adventurous people who seek a differentiated experience onboard their car. With this partnership, we will offer more options of high-quality accessories for Ranger customers who appreciate contact with nature, adventure and off-road,” said Matheus Amaral, Communication and Marketing manager at Ford.
These new tents expand an already growing catalog for the new Ford Ranger in Brazil, which previously consisted of around 30 parts and accessories. That list includes things like a drop-in bed liner, roof rails, a sport bar for the bed, General Grabber A/TX RWL 255/70R17 off-road tires, tray-style floor liners, tonneau covers, and various other goods.
