Ford Chile Sales Jump 16 Percent In November 2023

Ford Chile sales increased 16 percent to 1,210 units in November 2023. The figures place Ford as the country’s seventh best-selling automobile brand during the month, behind Toyota, Chevrolet, Hyundai, Kia, Suzuki and Peugeot.

Chilean auto sales figures are limited since reporting only shows the best-selling models in each segment. As such, no sales data is available for vehicles that sell in lower volumes. Nevertheless, individual Ford model sales performance (for models for which sales data is available) was as follows:

Ford F-Series sales increased 15.6 percent to 163 units
Ford Heavy Trucks sales decreased 100 percent to 0 units
Ford Ranger sales increased 75.74 percent to 536 units
Ford Territory sales increased 24.35 percent to 240 units
Ford Transit sales decreased 35.35 percent to 64 units

During the first 11 months of the 2023 calendar year, Ford Chile sales decreased 1.6 percent to 11,917 units.

The Ford Authority Take

Ford Chile sales volume increased by a healthy marging again in November, when the blue oval brand continued to sustain momentum that began in October, and as a result, recorded its second month of consecutive increases. The inter-monthly volume had a very slight improvement of 18 units and remains stable with respect to the result of the previous two months.

Although several Ford Chile models managed to increase their sales in the month, the main protagonist of the brand’s good results in November was the Ford Ranger. The midsize pickup marked the highest increase of any model and strengthened its position as the brand’s best-selling model with 536 deliveries, recovering the good momentum initiated by the redesigned model in the third quarter of the year.

Additionally, sales of the Ford Territory in Chile also notably increased over the past month, albeit down 34 units month over month. Likewise, the Ford F-Series set records both in the month and in the total accumulated to date and maintains a good level of competitiveness in the segment.
