The Ford E-Transit has earned its fair share of accolades this year, nabbing the Vincentric 2023 Best Fleet Value award as well as the Parkers 2024 Best Electric Van Award, being commended for its unparalleled range per charge and generous helping of horsepower on tap. The Blue Oval’s electric E-Transit 350 can now add yet another award to its resume, having earned the 2024 Vincentric Best Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) Award in its respective category.
The Ford E-Transit 350 was recognized as the best Large Cargo Van, commended for its low ownership costs, which are 14.7 percent below the expected value. It was also the best of the field when it came to fuel economy – or, perhaps more accurately, its range per charge – demonstrating that it can travel quite far without needing to be plugged in. Operating costs of the E-Transit are the lowest in its category, as is the total cost of ownership. In fact, the E-Transit 350 bested five competitors in its division for the honors.
To determine the 2024 Best CPO Value in America Award winners, Vincentric took a look at the vehicles that had lower than expected ownership costs given their market segment and price. The company studied over 18,000 vehicle configurations using eight cost factors to do this: depreciation, fees and taxes, financing, fuel, insurance, maintenance, opportunity cost, and repairs.
“Ford’s Transit vans demonstrated their CPO-market strength and were key players in leading the brand to the top spot on the podium,” Vincentric said in a statement. “The E-Transit 350 also triumphed in the Large Cargo Van segment, following in the footsteps of its gasoline counterpart which has won this segment six previous times.”
The Ford E-Transit 350 joins several other Blue Oval vehicles on the podium in the 2024 Best CPO Value Awards. The Ford Transit Connect, the Ford Expedition and the Lincoln Navigator all earned the trophy in their respective segments.
