Ford Motor Company has filed a patent for an adaptive experience presentation that could be used in future Ford vehicles, Ford Authority has learned.
The patent was filed on June 10th, 2022, published on December 14th, 2023, and assigned serial number 0403369.
The Ford Authority Take
In recent years, Ford has made it quite clear that it is placing a renewed focus on the interiors of its future vehicles, which are actually leading the development process. This is part of the automaker’s larger plan to provide customizable user experiences – particularly for EV owners – making them far more personalized and intuitive than current models. In that realm, this new Ford patent filing for an adaptive experience presentation could potentially play a big role in the automaker’s quest.
Modern day vehicles continue to become more entertainment machines on wheels than basic transportation, incorporating all sorts of multi-media ranging from movies and TV shows to high-quality audio. Throw in the all-knowing presence of social media, and this Ford patent imagines a world in which vehicles can provide a far more personal experience, even reminding users about important dates like birthdays or anniversaries.
That’s precisely the motivation behind this Ford patent, too – it outlines a system that uses a data package with instructions on how to behave based on a preconfigured notion, whatever that may be. The possibilities here are quite vast, as the system itself is capable of farming raw data and using it to create reminders and other interactions that may be useful for owners. Given Ford’s push to make its future vehicles more personalized, it may very well wind up coming to reality, too.
