Last month, United Auto Workers (UAW) members voted to ratify the union’s new master contract agreement with Ford, effectively ending a six-week-long targeted strike against the automaker. This new deal includes a number of stipulations such as the end of wage tiers and pay increases for UAW members, along with a massive $8 billion dollar investment in existing and future products and production facilities by the automaker itself. This particular piece of information has produced some interesting insights into the future of The Blue Oval, including, it seems, one related to the Ford Ranger Raptor.
According to Ford’s future product roadmap released by the UAW, production of the Ford Ranger Raptor is slated to continue at the Michigan Assembly plant through the duration of the contract, which will expire in April 2028. The document also reveals that Ford Ranger and regular Ford Bronco production – along with the high-performance Ford Bronco Raptor – will continue at this particular plant as well, which will add a third shift to support an expansion, coupled with a $250 million dollar investment on Ford’s part.
It isn’t surprising that Ford Ranger Raptor production will continue at MAP, however, given the fact that the rugged model is just making its debut in the U.S. for the 2024 model year, though production remains constrained at the moment. Meanwhile, production of the twin-turbocharged 2.7L Ford EcoBoost V6 Nano and 3.0L V6 EcoBoost engines (the latter of which powers the Ranger Raptor and Bronco Raptor) will continue at the Lima Engine plant at least through April 2028 as well, which is also the case with Ford’s 10-speed automatic transmission (also used in the Bronco and Ranger Raptor), which is built at the Livonia Transmission plant and the Sharonville Transmission plant.
We’ll have more on the 2024 Ranger Raptor soon, so be sure to subscribe to Ford Authority for the latest Ford Ranger news, Ford Ranger Raptor news, Ford-UAW news, UAW news, and comprehensive Ford news coverage.

When will production start on the 2024 Ranger truck at MAP?
I ordered a Ranger Lariat FX4 seven months ago and I still do not have a build date.
It may run to 2028, but the real question is “when is it actually going to start???” Guess they should have put that in the contract too…
Here’s an idea…do away with the 2024 model…start with 2025 in first quarter and everyone with order in gets 0% apr finananceing
Ford probably won’t be able to get the 1st round of 6th generation Rangers built before 2028 at the rate they are going.
