FordPass Rewards Getting Substantial Overhaul For 2024

In recent years, the FordPass rewards program has undergone quite a few changes, enabling users to redeem points online and for Bronco Off-Roadeo merchandise, all while dropping new stickers for Apple users, too. There’s a very good reason why The Blue Oval continues to expand its FordPass rewards program, too – a recent study found that users bring their vehicles to Ford dealers for service twice as often as non-users, and are likely to be more loyal to the brand, to boot. Now, the FordPass rewards program is undergoing even more changes, which were just unveiled to account holders via an email.

The purpose of these changes – set to take effect in January 2024 – is to make it easier to advance up through the tiers by calculating Tier Activities rather than Milestones. Users will now only have to complete those Tier Activities to move up through the ranks, at which point they’ll enjoy enhanced benefits. FordPass members start out at the Bronze level, and each activity they complete adds one Tier Activity to their total, helping them move up toward Silver and Blue status.

For now, those Tier Activities consist of purchasing or leasing a new Ford vehicle, purchasing a Ford Blue Advantage vehicle (the automaker’s certified pre-owned program), purchasing a Ford accessory from the automaker’s official site, obtaining service on their vehicle at a Ford dealer, or purchasing an eligible Ford Protect Extended Service Plan. FoMoCo did reveal that it plans to add more Tier Activities to this list moving forward, however.

Those that complete 0-1 Tier Activities qualify for Bronze status, which gives them 10 points per dollar spent on Ford service, partner offers, and soon-to-be-announced items. Completing 2-4 activities nets one Silver status and a five percent bonus on points earned, while those that complete five or more Tier Activities qualify for the top-tier Blue status, which gives members a 10 percent points bonus. Additionally, FordPass Rewards Visa cardholders get two Tier Activities and automatic Silver status when they complete their first credit card transaction in a calendar year, and spending $25,000 in a calendar year also nets them Blue Tier status.
