Before and after the tragic passing of race car driver and creator of Hoonigan Ken Block early this year, several of his personal vehicles have surfaced for sale. That list includes Block’s 2013 Ford Fiesta ST RX43, 2011 Fiesta GYM3, the 1977 Ford F-150 dubbed “Hoonitruck,” and a super rare 1986 Ford RS200 Evolution. Now, we have yet another cool ride formerly owned by Block available to purchase – this wild 2009 Ford F-150 RaptorTrax model, which is currently up for sale over at LBI Limited.
The 2009 Ford F-150 RaptorTrax made its debut back in a 2014 video for Monster Energy dubbed “Ken Block’s RaptorTRAX Shredfest with Zak Hale & Ethan Deiss,” which took place at Baldface in Nelson, BC, Canada, and ultimately garnered more than five million views. It was built for one specific purpose, too – make it easier for Block to head out and do some snowboarding, which was one of his favorite pastimes.
To create such a machine, Block and his team took a regular old F-150 and added various components from an F-150 Raptor, and even went to the trouble of removing the stock 5.4L V8 and replacing it with the more powerful 6.2L V8 also used in the Raptor – in this case, topped with a Whipple supercharger, helping it churn out 650 horsepower. SVC Offroad proceeded to beef up the truck with a rear cage in the event of a rollover, while a set of tracks gives the truck its name – and the ability to traverse snowy embankments with ease.
Now, this super cool rig is up for sale, albeit with a rather lofty price tag of $195,000. However, we imagine that the Ford F-150 RaptorTrax cost a small fortune to build in the first place, and given its celebrity ownership, we don’t doubt that someone will be enticed to plunk down that sort of money and bring it home.
We’ll have more cool cars for sale to share soon, so be sure and subscribe to Ford Authority for more Ford F-Series news, Ford F-150 news, Ford F-150 Raptor news, and comprehensive Ford news coverage.
