The Lincoln Mark VIII has been out of production for quite some time now, but customers looking for the luxury coupe still have the chance to get their hands on lightly used cream puffs that have survived and thrived into the 2020s. As Ford Authority previous reported, a 1993 Lincoln Mark VIII with just 30,000 miles on it recently sold, as did an example with less than 300 miles. While this Mark VIII currently up for grabs on Bring a Trailer has seen a bit more time on the road than that, it’s got something going for it that makes it an interesting find: it’s supercharged.
The 1993 Lincoln Mark VIII did not come supercharged from the factory, and the seller notes that the modifications done on this machine were performed by Supercharger Specialties of Scottsdale, Arizona in 1996. It has been outfitted with a Paxton SN93 supercharger atop its 4.6L V8 engine, along with a Paxton oil cooler and fuel control unit.
A Superchips performance chip was also installed, altering the engine and transmission software. The seller states that output is rated at 289 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque, somehow not significantly improved from the factory rating of 280 horsepower and 285 pound-feet of torque, although no documentation was provided.
Outside, this Mark VIII sports a coat of Opal Gray Pearlescent, featuring commodities like a keyless entry keypad, power trunk, automatic headlights and automatic fuel door release. It rolls on a set of 18-inch Konig wheels mounted over four-wheel disc brakes. Meanwhile, the interior of this Mark VIII is finished in Opal Gray leather, and wood trim has been added to the dashboard, door panels and center console. An aftermarket CD player was installed in October 2023.
After spending nearly three decades out in the sun, it is showing its age, evident in its cracked paint, failing window trim and damage to the passenger’s side door. It shows approximately 78,000 miles on its odometer, 1,000 of which were added under the current owner. Currently, the bid is $2,450, with the auction set to close on December 6th, 2023.

I had the prototype of that built by Fred Fawcett of Supercharger Specialties and we had it in SEMA 1993 in the featured car section. I blew it up twice , one under factory warranty and for the second one I got a REAL 4.6L (without the lame bottom end!!) from Lee Morse at Ford SVO. I also had a Mustang rag with a Texas Stagecoach body kit and an F150 done up like one of the upcoming NASCAR trucks, both with Paxton blowers in their display that year.
