Discontinued some time ago, the Ford Focus RS remains a hot target on the used vehicle market, and more recently, the collector car space as well. In that regard, we’ve seen some nice Focus RS models hit the auction block, including a 2014 model with 20k miles, a 2016 with 30k miles, and a 2017 with 5,500 miles. Now, that trend continues with this 2016 Ford Focus RS that has a mere 1,100 miles and is currently up for auction at Bring a Trailer.
This particular Ford Focus RS was originally delivered to Hardy Ringuette Automotive, Inc. in Val-D’Or, Quebec, Canada, but was later imported into the U.S. and purchased by the seller in 2021. Regardless, none of the car’s owners have bothered to drive the hot hatch much, instead opting to keep it stashed away for another day, which has apparently arrived. On the bright side, that lack of use has left this Focus RS in pretty stellar condition.
That includes the Stealth Gray exterior, which is seemingly flawless save for a couple of scuff marks on the front splitter, and it’s also stock except for a set of Rally Armor polyurethane mud flaps. Otherwise, it’s in fantastic condition with all of the goodies one would expect from the ultimate version of the Focus, including 19-inch forged aluminum wheels, Brembo brakes, and a sport suspension, coupled with unique bodywork.
The same goes for the interior, which is in immaculate condition and finished in Charcoal Black leather and Miko Dinamica microsuede. More importantly, the turbocharged 2.3L I-4 EcoBoost engine underhood is barely broken in, yet generates a healthy 350 horsepower with 350 pound-feet of torque, which flows to the wheels via a six-speed manual transaxle and a torque-vectoring all-wheel-drive system. Perhaps unsurprisingly, bids on this Ford Focus RS have come hot and heavy, which is to be expected for an amazing car that many of us still miss to this day.
